Privacy by Design
Care Daily treats privacy as a foundational design principle that shapes how we build long before any legal or contractual obligation applies. Privacy considerations are incorporated into how we design products, develop services, manage access, evaluate vendors and introduce new technologies. We collect, access, use and retain information only for approved and legitimate purposes.

Ownership
Customers retain ownership.
Customers retain ownership of their data, including their inputs, queries and system-generated outputs.
Care Daily does not use customer information for unauthorized secondary purposes. Customer data is not used to train third-party AI models without explicit authorization and appropriate safeguards.
Where optional processing capabilities are available, they can be controlled or restricted based on customer requirements and the agreed scope of service.
Governance

Care Daily maintains governance controls for the responsible development and operation of AI-enabled capabilities. Our practices are informed by the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and concepts established by international AI governance standards. Depending on the system and use case, these may include:
Third-party AI
Controlled use of third-party AI.
Care Daily's own internally managed or customer-hosted AI systems are the default for platform processing.
Any optional use of an external AI provider must be explicitly enabled and appropriately governed. Where such functionality is approved, our approach is to minimize the information shared and to use processed insights or structured context in place of unnecessary raw sensor information or protected health information.
This lets Care Daily deliver meaningful AI-supported insights while maintaining accountability, transparency and respect for customer privacy.
